Video clips from the party: how to share them in the album

The speech, the song and the first dance deserve sound. The album accepts video clips exactly like photos – here are the limits and the practical advice.

Formats and size

MP4 and MOV from iPhone and Android are supported, and individual files can be up to 500 MB. That is typically a few minutes of ordinary phone footage. For longer clips it is better to split them in two than to compress them beyond recognition.

Playback in the gallery

Videos automatically get a thumbnail from one of the first frames and play directly in the gallery – no download, no extra app. They sit alongside the photos in the shared timeline.

Film so it can be used

Hold the phone horizontally for speeches and performances, and stand close enough that the microphone catches the voice rather than the table chatter. Short clips of 20–60 seconds get watched. Ten minutes of uncut speech rarely does.

Upload at the right time

Large video files are hard on congested party wifi. Ask guests to upload videos later in the evening or the next day on their own network. The album stays open until you close it.
